When you're looking for a doctor, you want to know who they are before you pick up the phone: where they trained, what they focus on, and how to book a visit. For physicians, the Doximity profile they built for their colleagues also helps answer those questions for patients. Through our extended partnership with U.S. News & World Report, here's how that works.
Helping patients get to know the physician
A physician's Doximity profile serves an audience beyond colleagues. Doximity supplies the physician profile data behind U.S. News Doctor Finder, where patients can search for doctors and learn about their education, training, and clinical interests.
Doximity profiles automatically sync with Doctor Finder profiles. Keeping that information current helps patients understand a physician's background and practice before they reach out.
Making the next step easier to find
Once a patient identifies a physician, they need a way to contact the practice.
Through Patient Connect, participating hospitals can connect patients researching physicians on U.S. News directly with their site.
For hospital teams, that means giving patients a clear next step while they are considering care—and pointing them exactly where they need to go.
Doximity extends its data partnership with U.S. News & World Report
Doximity (NYSE: DOCS), the leading digital platform for U.S. medical professionals, announced it has extended its 13-year data partnership with U.S. News & World Report to help patients identify the best care for their needs.
The extension reinforces Doximity's position as the trusted data provider for U.S. News' physician- and hospital-facing products. Doximity contributes data behind U.S. News' Best Hospitals rankings and the tools that help patients find the right doctors and book appointments.
Doximity data powers U.S. News' Doctor Finder and Patient Connect appointment booking tools, used by over 65 million Americans annually to find and schedule care.
What the partnership covers
- Expert Opinion Survey: Doximity will continue as U.S. News' exclusive third-party provider of the Expert Opinion physician survey, a key input into the Best Hospitals and Best Children's Hospitals rankings.
- Doctor Finder: Doximity will continue supplying the physician profile data that powers U.S. News' Doctor Finder, helping patients book appointments with U.S. News hospital partners directly from the site.
