We are thrilled to introduce the 2026-2027 class of Doximity Clinical AI Fellows, a year-long program for physicians and clinicians who want to shape how AI shows up in real clinical practice. These Fellows aren't here to watch from the sidelines. They work directly with the teams building the Doximity Clinical AI Suite, bringing the one thing every good tool needs: the perspective of people who actually see patients. They get a direct line to our product and engineering teams, a platform that reaches millions of clinicians, and a community of peers working at the leading edge of medicine and technology.
With more than 150+ clinicians representing 123 institutions across 36 states, this is one of the largest clinician communities working directly with a product team to shape the future of clinical AI. That scale matters. Building clinical AI requires continuous feedback from clinicians practicing across specialties, care settings, and communities—and that's exactly what this Fellowship is designed to provide.
We are pleased to welcome a group spanning a wide range of specialties, career stages, and locations. Here is a look at the class that's joining us this year.
More than two dozen specialties are represented
Internal Medicine leads the way this year, with Psychiatry and Family Medicine close beahind. But the real story is the range. Neurologists and dermatologists sit alongside orthopaedic surgeons, anesthesiologists, and physiatrists, and dozens of other specialties round out the room. That breadth matters here. Clinical AI has to work across every corner of practice, and this group makes sure the feedback comes from all of them.
A class built around the next generation
This year's cohort skews early-career by design. Residents make up the majority of the class, joined by fellows-in-training and medical students alongside a strong group of practicing clinicians at every stage.
One theme came through in application after application: these Fellows aren't waiting for someone else to figure out clinical AI. They're already identifying inefficiencies, testing new workflows, educating peers, and finding thoughtful ways to improve patient care using AI. The Fellowship builds on that momentum by connecting them directly with the teams designing the next generation of clinical AI.
Many Fellows are residents and fellows-in-training—the clinicians who will spend the next several decades practicing alongside AI. Building with them today helps ensure we're creating products that define the next generation of clinical practice, not just today's workflows.
Building at 123 institutions, and counting
This class spans 123 institutions across the country, from academic medical centers to community hospitals to safety-net clinics. Fellows are training and practicing at places like Cleveland Clinic, Vanderbilt, Massachusetts General, Mount Sinai, Johns Hopkins, Yale, UC San Diego, and Grady, alongside dozens of community and regional programs. Clinical AI has to work everywhere medicine happens, not just at the flagship names, and this cohort covers the full spread.
Reach across the country
This class stretches across 36 states and every region of the country, from big-city academic centers to suburban practices to rural communities. And while physicians anchor the group, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists are part of it too, bringing perspectives that make the whole cohort sharper.
Over the next year, these Fellows will put the Doximity Clinical AI Suite to work in real practice, testing tools like Ask and Scribe against the demands of everyday patient care and helping us shape where they go next.
Building clinical AI takes more than powerful models. It takes the trust of clinicians, feedback from every corner of medicine, and a commitment to improving products through real-world practice. That's what this Fellowship represents, and it's the foundation we're building for the future of clinical AI.
