Here’s how to call patients on your cell phone without *67

· Doximity Insider

Two years ago, we launched the Doximity Dialer app to solve a problem we hear from physicians everywhere: there’s no easy way to call patients outside the clinic. Using *67 often results in missed connections, because patients don’t pick up calls from unknown numbers. And waiting to make a patient call from the clinic or hospital isn’t an option for urgent calls.

Today, we’re integrating Doximity Dialer into our Doximity app. By adding the Dialer feature into Doximity, physicians can now call patients, get faxes, connect with colleagues and keep up with the news -- all in one place.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Search for 'Doximity - medical network' in the App store*
  2. Download the updated Doximity app
  3. Choose the number you’d like to display on your patient’s Caller ID
  4. Dial your patient’s phone number
  5. Your patient sees the number you chose as incoming Caller ID, and your personal number stays private

This feature is available exclusively in the newest version of the Doximity app. Download our new and improved version of Doximity here, to call patients privately, send and receive faxes, connect with colleagues, and more. Happy (private) calling!

*coming soon for Android!
